At Healthy Foods & More we are committed to serving our local community! We do our best to get involved in local events and activities promoting health and wellness. Below are some of the ways we are getting involved.
Our store acts as a venue for hosting community talks, discussion and classes with our experts, Tania and Tracy, and we're always looking to expand our selection of local products.
We make donations to non-profit organizations and local charities. If you have a special event or fundraiser coming up, contact us. We may wish to contribute!

Hacienda Market Garden ~ The Working Centre
The Hacienda Sarria Market Garden is a volunteer-driven initiative to develop an inclusive, hands-on learning environment to demonstrate, promote, and share knowledge about sustainable local food production and environmental stewardship.
Ron Doyle, owner of the Hacienda Sarria has offered The Working Centre a unique arrangement to establish a productive community market garden on the back property of the Hacienda Sarria. He has upgraded the land with terraces, top soil, and compost and has been planting over 40 fruit trees. Approximately 20,000 square feet in gardening beds have been laid out. Mr. Doyle has made a commitment to The Working Centre that in return for creating beautiful gardens, developing urban food production and teaching market garden skills, we can market and sell the produce and use the revenue for project sustainability. Ron has provided a significant contribution of land near the downtown that can be used towards establishing an urban sustainable food production model and land stewardship.
Healthy Foods and More has had a long and fruitful relationship with the Hacienda Market Garden. The quality of their produce meets the expectations of our Produce Manager, Tyson Arberle.
Taco Farm is already a Waterloo favourite boasting a unique take on Mexican cuisine and a staggering selection of salsas. Our partnership with owners Nick & Nat Benninger (who own Uptown 21) and Ryan Good (who owns Chainsaw) is into its second year of 'go-to' places where Taco Farm's greatness is found.
We’re proud to sell Taco Farm’s tortillas, tortilla chips, and the expanded line of salsas, including the classic tomato-radish, the pico de gallo, lime-onion salsa, salsa verde, charred pineapple salsa, and the ultimate in guacamole all of which are gluten-free.
Delivered on Wednesdays and Fridays.
